Durbar Square is historical and encompasses evidence of palaces, courtyards, vividly ornamented wood buildings, and more. The Swayambhunath Stupa (the Monkey Temple) is a breathtaking sight in the Valley. It is magnificent because of its impeccable elevation and panoramic view.

One of the holiest Hindu temples will primarily be observers of rituals existing for spiritual purposes and oddities exhibited by the natives of the area. Kathmandu is known to be a colourful street and local market also.

Tourist trail Thamel is highly high, and the highly varied shops that sell handmade items through clothing and souvenir shops significantly contribute to the heavy tourism impacting the area.

During a 4-day Kathmandu Tour, one can walk through these vibrant, colourful markets, observe community life and the inhabitants' lives, and purchase curious little items.

It is one of the famous cities known for the overwhelming number of excellent Nepali restaurants that serve iconic Nepali food, such as momo, dal bhat, and Newari cuisine.

Day 2

Full-Day Kathmandu sightseeing

After breakfast, a sightseeing day trip starts with guided sightseeing at Kathmandu's most historically significant places. Your first appointment is because of Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site and previous royal residence.

The architecture of the country, the Hanuman Dhoka Palace (the erection of the Hanuman Dhoka Complex), the Taleju Temple (at the centre of the Kathmandu valley), and the Kumari Ghar (the house of the Living Goddess of Nepal) are explored in detail.

The marvellous wood carvings and the courtyards will transport you back in time. Next, you'll visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, known as the Monkey Temple, perched on a hill overlooking the Valley.

The dome and the golden spire of the stupa are painted/decorated in a way that resembles the Buddha's eyes, which Buddha has held in the greatest reverence worldwide.

Come on, circle the place, do a spin on the prayer wheels, and take in the beautiful and powerful scene of the city before you.

The next tour was to Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most holy places in Hinduism, and the god Shiva, the deity.

Lying adjacent to the Bagmati River, worship practices will occur simultaneously and be clearly observable from the roadside and river bank, encompassing various religious activities, including religious rituals and cremation rituals taking place along the river.

Your next visit is with Boudhanath Stupa, one of the grandest giant hemispherical stupas in the world, topped. The stupa is the symbol of Tibetan culture in Nepal, and the presence of temples and shops marks the surrounding area).

Circumambulate the stupa anticlockwise, meditate in chorus with the monks in quietude, and sit in the peace of mind of the view. Ultimately, it is like one final check with the hotel with a relaxing night's sleep to bring us back to normal.

Chandragiri Hills Day Trips

In the morning, have breakfast at the hotel and then go on a day trip to Chandragiri Hills, which is no more than 15 km inside the city.

During a sightseeing 4-day Kathmandu Tour, you reach a hilltop and then take the cable car ride to the summit. The view is very idyllic, with lush green forests and rolling hills.

Chandragiri Hills, 2,551 m, offers an amazing panorama of the Himalayan Mountain range comprising of those peaks like Mount Everest, Annapurna and Manaslu, depending on atmospheric conditions.

Go for a stroll and visit Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, an ancient Hindu temple. Stay cool and capture gorgeous views on streaming platforms. It is a peaceful location, a cute escape from the noise and clutter of the city.

Eat lunch in a restaurant on a hill, behind which are the mountains, before hiking down to the cable car.

As soon as you get back to Kathmandu, it is night as you can still take a few more steps on the street of Kathmandu or wander without the permissions received, searching for the best Nepali restaurant and ending up with the perfect Nepali cultural music tuned by the spins of Nepali Dance Drum.

Things need to know before departure

1. Take a Pottery Class in Bhaktapur

You will no longer just window shop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square but have an interactive pottery encounter at Pottery Square. Learn an ancient potter's craft practised by local artisans.

You'll mould clay into beautiful pots and take home a personalized souvenir. This is a good leisure activity that will teach you about Nepali culture.

2. Experience a Traditional Newari Feast with a Local Family

Instead of eating out at a typical restaurant, schedule a homemade Newari dinner at a house. Savour local cuisine, including katamari (Newari pizza), shati (chickpea stew), and juju dhau (king curd).

This activity provides an experience of local culture, food processing, hospitality, etc.

3. Attend a Butter Lamp Lighting Ceremony at Boudhanath Stupa

For most visitors, the circuit of the Boudhanath Stupa is the only part of the landscape they see. While most will walk the circuit, only a handful will participate in the rite of requesting butter lamps.

Bulbs of bright butter lamps are placed amid the local Buddhist community as a sign of peace and learning. Spiritually, it is an event that alters your perspective and makes your life more meaningful while carrying the experience of being connected.

4. Learn Thanka Painting from a Master Artist

Thanka painting is a religious approach to visualization of Buddhist imagery/the Buddha's meditation (e.g., the mandalas) of visualization. Do this difficult trade at a Thanka painting school for an hour or two.

The intensive experience trains endurance, precision, and the aesthetic aspect of painting and drawing.

5. Try Local Street Food on a Hidden Food Tour Leaders

Street food is both a tipple down the restaurant aisle, which is luxurious to the ostentatious in the megalopolis, but also an uncovering of the city's hidden ethnic neighbourhoods inhabited by a native person who is a storyteller.

For the pleasure of unusual food, especially sel roti (rice ball), pani puri, and chatpate (sour street food). Wander into secret courtyards where people eat and discover the best of Kathmandu in the food vendor's street market.

6. Meditate with Monks at Kopan Monastery

Escape the city's noise by heading up to Copan Monastery (a Tibetan Buddhist temple) on a hill. In a prospective study on lead exposure scare, get to know Tibetan Buddhism.

Due to the quietness and beautiful scenery, it can be a unique spiritual contemplation.

7. Cycle Through Rural Villages Around the Valley

Leave the insanity of the Kathmandu Street scene and take a bike ride into the countryside to "see" Bungamati and Khokana.

However, it does not account for the whole picture of rural Nepalese people based on the appreciation of the glorious village, the historical culture, the beautiful meadow and the beautiful houses.

Kathmandu is a safe country to visit, and tens of thousands of tourists go there every year without being hassled. The locals are warm, hospitable, and welcoming toward visitors. However, as in any urban sprawl, prudence and reasonable precautions must be made.

Small crimes such as pickpocketing occur, and unfortunately, in areas like Thamel or local shops, care must be taken not to leave anything behind unattended.

It is safe to walk in the town during the 4 Days Kathmandu Tour during the day, but do not venture into the dark or deserted areas at night; always loiter in well-lighted bright streets with many people walking around.

Reliable taxis or advance trips are recommended in the context of late-day travel. Health and environmental issues also need to be considered, as air quality in Kathmandu Valley is often degraded, especially in the dry season.

Wearing a mask is likely to reduce dust and ambient pollutant exposure levels. Tap water is contaminated and should not be drunk, so everybody should drink bottled or filtered water.

Visitors cannot be considered a potential threat to Kathmandu's arts, history, and lifeblood if assessed solely based on a thoughtful set of requirements.

Kathmandu provides an appealing mix of food and Nepal's cultural depth and history. Here are some must-try foods during 4 Days Kathmandu Tour:

1. Momo

Momo is the favourite food of both local and tourist people. These delicious dumplings contain a combination of meat (beef, chicken, buffalo, and/or pork) or vegetables and are then served with a very spicy sauce. Try both the steamed and fried versions.

2. Dal Bhat

Dal Bhat is the staple Nepali meal. Main course choices are chicken and rice curry lentil soup (dal), vegetable curry with chutneys and pickles and sometimes meats) are provided. It is a tasty new food to have as a sample and to cook a true Nepali meal.

3. Newari Cuisine

For authentic local flavours, sample Newari dishes. Bara (fritters of lentil beans) and cholla (grilled meat served with spices) are tempting dishes for the daily. Yomari is a sweet dumpling with molasses, a local food of the Newari community.

4. Sel Roti

Sel Roti is a fried puffed open doughnut-shaped rice cake that is very common to eat during celebrations. It is readily available in local markets and tea shops and has a fantastic prospect, which can be enjoyed as an appetizer or breakfast.

5. Gundruk

Since it is an unusual and acidic food, fermentative leafy greens, Gundruk, is a strongly traditional Nepalese dish, mainly eaten in a soup or incorporated into a soup. It's a must-try for adventurous food lovers.

6. Chatpate

This street food, consisting of puffed rice, potato, onion, spices, and sour tamarind sauce, is Tanzanian. Spicy and crackling, street food is sold in markets and on the roadside.

7. Juju Dhau

Juju dhau" (the "king of curd" is a creamy, sweet yogurt concoction from Bhaktapur region) is a type of yogurt cooked with sugar. It's the perfect dessert to end a meal. These special examples provide a true flavour of the spice food culture and Kathmandu's cuisine. Don't miss trying them during your visit!

Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are the best seasons to go to Kathmandu. This month's weather is perfect for sightseeing and outdoor vacation weather.

Autumn (September to November):

This is considered the peak tourist season in Kathmandu. Weather conditions are pleasant (clear sky, good temperatures, suitable for walking and sightseeing in the city's historical landmarks, trekking, and other outdoor activities).

When the sky is blue, the panoramic views of the adjacent hills are easily visible.

Spring (March to May):

Spring is another excellent time to visit Kathmandu. Conditions are excellent (blue sky, flowering plants, particularly the Valley gardens from a distance and from within the shadow of the cathedral itself), i.e.

It is also a good opportunity to hike as there are numerous lush flowers and beautiful sceneries and attractions along the way.
