Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 to provide a home to diverse wildlife including tigers, rhinos, and elephants. In, 1951 AD Chitwan was a completely dense forest and only Tharu people were the inhabitants. The main objective of declaring the forest of Chitwan as a national park is to conserve the forest and its species, where we can find varied mammals that are fun and interesting to watch. To date, it has been the main source of tourism in Nepal and reflects the culture and traditions of Tharu's origin.

Detail Itinerary
DRIVE FROM GORAKHPUR TO POKHARA
You will be picked up at Gorakhpur railway station, and your journey will begin from there. It will take you around 8 hours to reach Pokhara on Private vehicle. Upon arrival at Pokhara, check-in at the hotel and take some rest. Later, you can stroll the local area/markets of Pokhara. Overnight stay at the hotel.

FULL-DAY POKHARA SIGHTSEEING
In the early morning, you will drive to Sarangkot for the beautiful sunrise view from Sarangkot View Point and you will be returning back to the hotel and have breakfast. After breakfast, you will embark on a local sightseeing tour of Pokhara, which includes Bindabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge, David's Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, and Mahendra Cave.
Enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake and Tal Barahi Temple, and explore the lakeside area.
Sarangkot:
Sarangkot is a popular viewpoint of Pokhara where you have to drive up the hill to watch the sunrise view from the view tower at the top.
Bindabasini Temple:
Bindabasini Temple is known to be the oldest temple of Pokhara. It is located in Miruwa, Pokhara, Nepal. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Bhagwati who is considered to be the incarnation of Kali.
Seti River Gorge:
Seti River Gorge is a famous and interesting tourist destination in Pokhara where you get to see the flowing river from above the bridge. The water flow of the river is very cold and white, which is quite a unique feature of the river which seems to disappear in caves and tunnels through its route in Pokhara.
David's Fall:
David Fall is another and the most visited tourist attraction in Pokhara. It is a waterfall, where the water forms a tunnel that is 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below the ground after reaching the bottom.
Gupteshowr Mahadev Cave:
Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is considered to be one of the longest caves in Nepal and the most attractive and mysterious cave with a length of 2,000 meters.
Mahendra Cave:
The cave is named after the late king Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. It is a natural cave which is located in Pokhara, Kaski very close to the Seti River.

DRIVE TO CHITWAN APPROX. 160km (5 hours)
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Chitwan. We will then continue our journey towards Chitwan to Observe the beautiful river valley of Marshyangdi to the west, and Trisuli to the South. Enjoying a striking scenic view of the Manaslu- Himal Chuli and Annapurna ranges, and the deep and terraced valleys. Enjoy Photography at Natural Scenic Spots.
Later in the evening, you will be enjoying the village tour and Tharu cultural program. The unique Tharu cultural program is one of the most entertaining parts of the tour, where you get to experience the traditional music performance and Tharu-style dance which reflect their culture.

CHITWAN JUNGLE ACTIVITIES
Chitwan is called the "heart of the Jungle". The Chitwan National Park is home to more than 50 mammal species, the count of birds is over 525, and 55 amphibians and reptiles. There are various endangered fauna found in the park i.e. One-horned rhinoceros, Gaur, royal Bengal tiger, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, golden monitor lizard, python, and so on.
The next morning after having breakfast you will proceed to explore Chitwan including, Bird watching, elephant breeding center, Chitwan National Park, elephant bathing, jeep safari, canoe ride, Chitwan jungle safari tour, and canoeing. Pashupatinath Temple:
Pashupatinath Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Pashupatinath an aspect of Lord Shiva located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Pashupatinath Temple conforms to the Hindu belief in Karma and reincarnation.
Boudhanath Stupa:
It is considered to be the sacred site dedicated to the Buddha.
Boudha Stupa was listed on the World Heritage list by UNESCO in 1979 and it is one of the most popular tourist sites in Kathmandu.
Swayambhunath Stupa:
Swayambhunath Stupa is also known as a Monkey Temple. It is one of the oldest stupa in Nepal having numerous shrines and monasteries Buddhism.
Budhanilkantha:
Budhanilkantha is one of the biggest Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to the Lord Vishnu which is located at Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu. It is also known as Jalnarayan where you can see the reclining stone monument of Lord Vishnu above the water.
Kathmandu Durbar Square:
Kathmandu Durbar Square is the largest square palace in Nepal which is located in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is one of the popular tourist destinations which is also known as the Museum of the Temples.
