Kanchenjunga Trekking route lies in the eastern part of Nepal where it touches both boarder land to China and India. Kanchenjunga is third highest mountain in the world so it carrries different prospects. Kanchenjunga Trekking is also popular known as “Five Treasures of the Snow”. From here you can observe magnificent view of different Himalayas like Jannu, Kanchenjunga and Chang Himal and other surrounding peaks. Rhododendrons & Orchids & many endangered flagship species such as Snow Leopard, Asian Black Bear, Red Panda, White-Bellied Musk Deer, Blood Pheasant & Chestnut-Breasted Partridge are the types of flora and fauna found here. People also believe that snow man Yeti found here. The castes like Sherpa, Limbu, Rai, Lomi are settled here.

Kanchenjunga Trekking is just only for 22 days where you go up to the altitude 5338 M so it is graded as moderate trek. The places that you pass through on Kanchenjunga Trek are Biratnagar, Phidim, Taplejung, Suketar, Mitlung, Chirwa, Sekathum, Amjilosa, Gyabla, Ghunsa, Kambachen, Lhonak, Pangpema, Sele le, Cheram, Ramche, Tortong, Yamphuding, Yangpang, Thorpu, Birtamod. On the way you get the chances to see the natural beauty, to know about the living life style, culture and tradition, stunning view of different Himalayas. 

Itinerary of Kanchenjunga Trekking

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (elevation 1.350 m)
Well Nepal travels and tour heartily welcome you in arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). And escort you to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel  
 
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing (1360m)
After breakfast you move for sightseeing Pashupatinath Temple (temple of lord god Shiva), Swayambunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square And many more places of Kathmandu valley. You back to the hotel and preparation for trek and stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 3 : Kathmandu to Biratnagar to Suketar
After breakfast you drive towards the airport for your flight to Biratnagar and stay for an hour there and again catch a flight for Suketar. And stay overnight at Suketar.  
 
  • Day 4 : Suketar to Mitlung (920M)
After breakfast you headed towards Mitlung, on the way you can see the beautiful pasture land and small villages and also move across the Hangdewa River and walk alongside the raging Tamor River. And finally reach to Mitlung where you stay overnight.  
 
  • Day 5 : Mitlung to Chirwa (1270M)
After breakfast you gear up for Chirwa where you can visit after crossing the several villages like Sinwa village, Tawa village, suspension bridges. On the way you can get chances to see the spectacular view of rural landscapes. And stay overnight at Chirwa.  
 
  • Day 6 : Chirwa to Sukathum (1576m)
After breakfast you headed towards Sukathum where you have to cross the Tamor and Ghumsa River and also pass through cardamom fields and dense forest. And finally reach to the Sukathum where you stay for the night.  
 
  • Day 7 : Sukathum to Amjilosa (2300M)
After breakfast you gear up for Amjilosa which one is challenging track. So the trekker must be aware while you move in this track you need to move uphill and downhill along with the suspension bridges. Stay overnight at Amjilosa  
 
  • Day 8 : Amjilosa to Gyabla (2700M)
After breakfast you headed up for Gyabla where you can see waterfalls, dense forest of bamboo as well as rhododendron. After couple hour of walk to uphill then finally reach to Gyabla. Stay overnight at Gyabla.  
 
  • Day 9 : Gyabla to Ghunsa (3500M)
After breakfast you move towards the Ghunsa where the large number of Sherpa lived. You pass through the Tibetan refugees settlements are where you can do shopping. Stay overnight at Ghunsa.  
 
  • Day 10 : Acclimatization at Ghunsa (3500M)
This day is a leisure day for you, you can utilize by doing shopping, mail to your friend and family, exploring the resources available here and life style, culture & tradition of people lived here. Stay overnight at Ghunsa.  
 
  • Day 11 : Ghunsa to Kambachen (4000M)
After breakfast you gear up for Kambachen from where you can see the magnificent view of Mt. Jammu and on the way you can see the beautiful mountain scenery, pass through beautiful meadows, rhododendron forest, cross bridge at Rampuk Kharka and enjoy waterfalls. Stay overnight at Kambachen.  
 
  • Day 12 : Kambachen to Lhonak (4780M)
After breakfast you headed for Lhonak where you walk through rocky fields and large boulders on the hillside along the riverbank and arrive at a waterfall. On the way you can see Ramtang Gumba. And stay overnight at Lhonak .  
 
  • Day 13 : Lhonak to Kanchenjunga north base camp (Pangpema) (5388M)
After breakfast you headed towards the northern base camp of Kanchenjunga from where you can see the stunning views of Jannu, Kanchenjunga and Chang Himal. The trekker must be aware because you need to pass though roughed and they are porn to landslides. Stay overnight at Kanchenjunga North Base camp in Pangpema.  
 
  • Day 14 : Pangpema to Ghunsa (3595M)
After breakfast you again trail down towards Ghunsa and stay overnight at Ghunsa.  
 
  • Day 15 : Ghunsa to Sele Le (4300M)
After breakfast you headed towards Sele Le where you need to walk uphill through dense moss forest, rhododendron forest and Juniper and stay overnight at Sele Le.  
 
  • Day 16 : Sele le to Cheram (3870M)
After breakfast you gear up for the Cheram from where you can observe mesmerizing south side view of Jannu Himal and Makalu. You pass through Sinion La, Mirgin La and Sinelapche Bhanjyang passes to reach Cheram. Stay overnight at Cheram.  
 
  • Day 17 : Cheram to Tortong (3000M)
After breakfast you headed towards Tortong , on the way you pass through Simbuwa Kholaand many beautiful & dense forest. Stay overnight at Tortong.  
 
  • Day 18 : Tortong to Yampudin (2080m)
After breakfast you gear up for Yampudin where mainly Sherpa community people lives and stay overnight at Yampudin.  
 
  • Day 19 : Yampudin to Yangpang(1007M)
After breakfast you move towards Yangpang by following Kabeli Khola. O the way you see the Mamankhe which houses the Limbu Museum and Cultural Center, Cardamom forest and Khaksewa Khola. Stay overnight at Yangpang.  
 
  • Day 20 : Yangpang to Birtamod (300M)
After breakfast you headed up for the Birtamod on the way stay an hour for rest and again move to -ward Birtamod. Stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 21 : Birtamod to Kathmandu
After breakfast you drive to Bhardapur for your flight to Kathmandu. and you can do shopping, pub, movie and explore more about Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 22 : Departure
This is an end of the day of your trek. You can email you parents, friends, agents, organize photos and recall the memories that you capture on Kanchenjunga trek. If you have plenty of time to stay in Nepal so you can make a call for us to plan for you.
