Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is one of the famous trek available in this Annapurna region trek. This trek is also famous as pilgrimage sites so many pilgrimages from all over the world. This trek is harsh trek than other trek so you must be capable for trekking. The peoples from different part of our country come to worship at Muktinath temple because this place is famous for both Hindu & Buddhist religion. Muktinath temple is famous here as well as 108 taps.

Your trek duration is only for 12 days where you will go up to the altitude of 3710 M so this trek is graded as easy trek.  Your trek starts from Ulleri on the way you will see the stunning beauty of different Himalayas, natural beauty and different stupas and gumba, people of different caste, their culture and tradition too. The trekking route of Jomsom Muktinath trek are Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tatopani, Ghasa, Marpha, Jomsom, Kagbeni, and finally to Jomsom. 

Itinerary of Jomsom Muktinath Trekking

  • Day 1 : Kathmandu Arrival
Well Nepal travels and tour heartily welcome you in arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). And escort you to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing
After breakfast you move for sightseeing Pashupatinath Temple (temple of lord god Shiva), Swayambunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square And many more places of Kathmandu valley. You back to the hotel and preparation for trek and stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 3 : Kathmandu to Pokhara to Ulleri
After 6/7 hours of drive in private vehicles you will reach to Pokhara. You will visit shortly in Pokhara and head towards Nayapul by private vehicles and same day you start your trek to Ulleri. Stay overnight at Ulleri.  
  • Day 4 : Ulleri to Ghorepani
After breakfast you gear up for Ghorepani. From the way you see the beautiful view of Mount Annapurna south & Himchuli. You also visit the place like Banthati and Tangethati. And stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 5 : Ghorepani to Tatopani
Early in the morning you climb to the Poon Hill Trek. From there you will see the stunning view of sunrise. After move down to Ghorepani, after breakfast you headed up to Tatopani on the you pass through the village called Sikha where the house is typically Magar style. Beautiful views of natural scenery as well as stunning view of the mountain. Stay overnight at Tatopani.  
  • Day 6 : Tatopani to Ghasa
After breakfast you head towards Ghasa. On the way you will see amazing waterfall, dreadful river gorges, etc. Ghasa is a place of Thakali community. Here you can see the different type of birds. Stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 7 : Ghasa to Marpha
After breakfast you will head to Marpha. Marpha is a place where you can enjoy the ripped apple bunches. Mainly Buddhist religion is practice here so you will see many different Stupa and monastery. Stay overnight at Marpha.  
  • Day 8 : Marpha to Jomsom to Kagbeni
After breakfast you headed up to Jomsom. After a couple of hour you reach to Jomsom. Take rest for a while and again move to Kagbeni. This place is also known as the old salt trade route. On the way you will see view of different mountains and beautiful landscape of the Kagbeni. Stay overnight at Kagbeni.  
  • Day 9 : Kagbeni to Muktinath
After breakfast you head towards your destination Muktinath. On the way you will see the natural beauty, view of mountains.  Further walk from dessert Jarkot leads to Pilgrimage site Muktinath Temple of lord Vishnu i.e. temple of Salvation. Both Hindu and Buddhist worship Muktinath temple. This temple has 108 stoned water taps and after taking bath from all those taps, believed that people will get salvation. Stay overnight at Muktinath.  
  • Day 10 : Muktinath to Jomsom to Pokhara
After breakfast you move down to Jomsom from Muktinath. After couple of walk you reach to Jomsom stay for a while and again drive towards Kathmandu. Stay overnight at Pokhara  
  • Day 11 : Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast you headed towards Kathmandu by private vehicles. After 7/6 hours you reach to Kathmandu. Then you have a free time till the night so you can recall the trip that you made. You can also go for shopping of sculptures, handicrafts etc stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 12 : Departure
The trek of your to the Annapurna base camp comes to an end today. You have a plenty of time to organize a photo, email to your friends, agents, parent till your departure. If you have plenty of time to stay in Nepal so you can make a call for us to plan for you.
