Druk Path Trek is the shortest trek route in Bhutan which is done between Paro and Thimpu. In this tour you get chances to passes through a gorgeous natural landscape of blue pine forests, high ridges and pristine lakes. And also get the opportunity to visit some ancient lhakhangs, dzongs and villages. Phume La Pass is the highest points of this treks, from here you can encounter Gangkhar Puensum the highest mountain in Bhutan.  From here you will an amazing view of Thimpu Valley.

Druk Path Trek goes just for 12 days where you go up to the high altitude of 4000M so it is graded as moderate trekking. Your Druk Path Trek starts from Kathmandu capital city of Nepal, and pass through Paro airport, Jele Dzong, Jangchulakha, Jimilang Tsho, Simkota Tsho, Phajoding, Thimpu and finall again back to Kathmandu. On the way you get chances to see the natural beauty, Stunning view of different mountains as well as to know the living standard, culture and tradition of thee local people. The best seasons for Druk Path Trek are Aug to Dec & Feb to May.

Itinerary of Druk Path Trekking

  • Day 1 : Kathmandu Arrival
Well Nepal travels and tour heartily welcome you in arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). And escort you to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing (1360M)
After breakfast you move for sightseeing Pashupatinath Temple (temple of lord god Shiva), Swayambunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square And many more places of Kathmandu valley. You come back to hotel and preparation for your tour and further discussion please feel free to ask the question and stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 3 : Kathmandu to Paro (2235M)
After breakfast you headed up to Tribhuvan International Airport to catch your flight to Bhutan. From the flight you can encounter the view of different Himalayas so nearly and you will be land on Paro Airport. Our representative will meet you there and escorts you to hotel. After some rest you move out to explore Paro.  You will explore Taktshang Lhakhang (known as Tiger Nest), Kyichu Lhakhang (build in 7th century sacred shrine built by Tibetan King Songsten Gompo), Drukgyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong (Known as “The Heap of Jewels”). You can enjoy the culture, architects, myths, legends and natural beauty of Paro.  
 
  • Day 4 : Paro to Jele Dzong (3450M)
After breakfast your real trek start from Paro to Jele Dzong.  Today you are going to climb hill till you won’t reach to Camp. From here you can encounter the clear view of Paro valley and snow capped mountain just behind the valley. Stay overnight at Jele Dzong.  
 
  • Day 5 : Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha (3930M)
After breakfast you gear up for Jangchulakha passing through thick alpine forest, beautiful rhododendron forest and Jele La. Explore some yak herds and also catch the stunning view of Jumolhari and other snow capped mountains. Stay overnight at Jangchulakha.  
 
  • Day 6 : Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho (3870M)
After breakfast you headed to Jimilang Tsho where you can find large lake. You can capture the stunning view of valley and mountains like Jichu Drake and Gangkar Puensum if the weather is clear. Stay overnight at Jimilang Tsho.  
 
  • Day 7 : Jimilang Tsho to Simkota Tsho (4000M)
After breakfast you gear up for Simkota passing through rhododendron trees and Janetso Lake, several herds. You get chances to explore more about nomad peoples. Janesto Lake is famous for fishing Trout fish. Stay overnight besides the Janestso Lake.  
 
  • Day 8 : Simkota Tsho to Phajoding (3650M)
After breakfast you move to Phajoding , if the weather condition is good then you can see the magnificent view of Mount Gangkar Puensum, and also the other peaks. And trail down along with Juniper and blue Pine forest and stay overnight at Phajoding.  
 
  • Day 9 : Phajoding to Thimpu (2350M)
After breakfast you trail down to Bhutan, today you gonna visit or explore the National memorial Stupa of Bhutan’s 3 King, Tashichho Dzong (office of king and throne room), Takin Scantuary, Simtokha Dzong,  Changangkha Lhakhang ( 12th century Temple Monastic school & temples), ZilukhaNunnery (Bhutan folk museum) ZorigChoesuem (textile weaving centre). Stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 10 : Depart to Kathmandu
After breakfast you drive to Paro Airport to catch a flight for Kathmandu.  And you can go for clubbing, shopping, moving etc. Stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 11 : Acclimatization Day
It’s an acclimatization day for you can utilize this time by email your friend, family or explore more about Kathmandu valley or recalling the moment that you share in Druk Path Trek. At night there you have a party on you success campaign along with our crew member. Stay overnight at hotel.  
 
  • Day 12 : Departure
Druk Path Trek comes to an end today. You have a plenty of time to organize a photo, email to your friends, agents, parent till your departure. If you have plenty of time to stay in Nepal so you can make a call for adventurous game like rafting, hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, Bunjee Jump, etc. or our respective man drop you in an airport to catch your flight.
