Itinerary of Bhutan Laya Gasa Lingshi Trek

  • Day 1 : Kathmandu Arrival
Well Nepal travels and tour heartily welcome you in arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). And escort you to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing (1360M)
After breakfast you move for sightseeing Pashupatinath Temple (temple of lord god Shiva), Swayambunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square And many more places of Kathmandu valley. You come back to hotel and preparation for your tour and further discussion please feel free to ask the question and stay overnight at hotel  
  • Day 3 : Kathmandu to Paro (2235M)
After breakfast you headed up to Tribhuvan International Airport to catch your flight to Bhutan. From the flight you can encounter the view of different Himalayas so nearly and you will be land on Paro Airport. Our representative will meet you there and escorts you to hotel. After some rest you move out to explore Paro.  You will explore Taktshang Lhakhang (known as Tiger Nest), Kyichu Lhakhang (build in 7th century sacred shrine built by Tibetan King Songsten Gompo), Drukgyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong (Known as “The Heap of Jewels”). You can enjoy the culture, architects, myths, legends and natural beauty of Paro.  
  • Day 4 : Paro to Shana (2870M)
After breakfast you gear up to Shana by driving to Drukgyal Dzong from where your real trekking begins. You pass through river, uphill and valley of paddy fields and you will also encounter plenty of traditional farmhouses on your way. After walk of 17 km for 5 to 6 hour you will finally be in Shana. Stay overnight at Shana.  
  • Day 5 : Shana to Soe Thangthangkha (3600M)
After breakfast you move to Soe Thangthangkha passing through Jigme Dorge National Park, Pine oak Spruce and beautiful rhododendron forest. Today you will walk of 15 Km for 4 to 5 hours to stay overnight at meadow with stone shelter.  
  • Day 6 : Soe Thangthangkha to Jangothang (4090M)
After breakfast you headed to Jangothang along with Pachu and you can encounter the stunning view of Mt. Jomolhari, Mt. Chomolhari and Jyichu Drakey. Then explore to yak herder’s camp and today you will walk for 19 km for 5 to 6 hour and stay overnight at Janothang.  
  • Day 7 : Acclimatization Janothang
This day is a leisure day for you where you can do time pass by exploring the more about Janothang like culture, tradition, languages of the people and chances to know more about flora & fauna of Janothang, Email your friends, Parents etc. Stay overnight at Janothang.  
  • Day 8 : Janothang to Lingshi (4010M)
After breakfast you gear up for Lingshi passing through stream, bridge, wide pastureland and exploring yak herders. You will also see the stunning view of Lingshi Dzong, valley, Tserim Kang (mountain). After 19 km walks for 5 to 6 hour you will be at Lingshi. Stay overnight at Lingshi.  
  • Day 9 : Lingshi to Chebisa (3880M)
After breakfast you move to Chebisa , today you will walk only for 12 km for 3 to 4 hour. Stay overnight at Chebisa.  
  • Day 10 : Chesbia to Somuthang (4000M)
After breakfast you headed to Somuthang passing through Gobu la, Nochu River. After 17 km walk for 5 to 6 hours you will be at Somuthang stay overnight at bench of river.  
  • Day 11 : Somuthang to Robluthang (4400M)
After breakfast you gear up for Robluthang , today you will walk for 15 km for 6 & 7 hour passing through Jerela, Tsharijathang valley. You also get chances to see the herd of Takin and stay overnight at Robluthang.  
  • Day 12 : Robluthang to Lingmithang (4160M)
After breakfast you headed for Lingmithang passing through Shige La pass. Lingmithang comes under Laya districts where people dressed in typical Laya costume with long pointed bamboo hats on their head. Today you will walk for 19 km for 6 & 7 hour. Stay overnight at Lingmithang.  
  • Day 13 : Lingmithang to Laya (3800M)
After breakfast you gear up for Laya along with the damp forest filled with mosses and varieties of birds. The trail leads you to the west side of Laya village. On the way you can encounter the natural beauty. After walk of 10 km for 3 to 4 hour you will stay overnight at Laya.  
  • Day 14 : Laya to Chamsa (3500M)
After breakfast you move to Chamsa passing though Mo chhu River, cross its bride, several ascends and descends through Rhododendron and Juniper forest. Today you will walk for 19 km for 6 to 7 hours. Stay overnight at Chamsa.  
  • Day 15 : Chamsa to Gasa (2700M)
After breakfast you trail down to Gasa passing through Bari La, Bamboo forest, stream. Today you will explore Gasa village, Gasa Dzong and Gasa Tschau and enjoythe hot spring. And stay overnight at Gasa.  
  • Day 16 : Gasa to Damji to Thimpu (2320M)
After breakfast you move to hot spring to take bath and we gear up for Damji passing through Mo Chu Valley, beautiful Mo Chu village, and cultivated land. You will be at Damji, stay for a while and again move to Thimpu. Stay overnight at Thimpu.  
  • Day 17 : Thimpu Exploration Day
After breakfast today you will explore the National memorial Stupa of Bhutan’s 3 King, Tashichho Dzong (office of king and throne room), Takin Scantuary, Simtokha Dzong,  Changangkha Lhakhang ( 12th century Temple Monastic school & temples),  ZilukhaNunnery (Bhutan folk museum) ZorigChoesuem (textile weaving centre). Stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 18 : Depart to Kathmandu
After breakfast you drive to Paro Airport to catch a flight for Kathmandu.  And you can go for clubbing, shopping, moving etc. Stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 19 : Acclimatization Day
It’s an acclimatization day for you can utilize this time by email your friend, family or explore more about Kathmandu valley or recalling the moment that you share in Bhutan Laya Gasa lingshi Trek. At night there you have a party on you success campaign along with our crew member. Stay overnight at hotel.  
  • Day 20 : Departure
Bhutan Laya Gasa Lingshi Trek comes to an end today. You have a plenty of time to organize a photo, email to your friends, agents, parent till your departure.
